FAKE CDCFIB Recruitment Update Letter in Circulation (February 2026)

Official Disclaimer from Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB)

The attention of the general public and all prospective applicants has been drawn to a letter currently circulating online titled “IMPORTANT UPDATE ON CDCFIB RECRUITMENTEXERCISE,” allegedly issued by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), dated 2nd February 2026 and purportedly signed by “AM Jibril, Maj Gen (Rtd), Secretary to the Board.”

The fraudulent letter claims that:

  • Shortlisted candidates are to visit a recruitment portal between 25th and 27th March 2026 to select screening venues.
  • A screening exercise will be held from 30th March to 1st April 2026 across the 36 states and the FCT.
